Special Evening Events
Our Open House is in September. Families are able to meet the teachers and find out what the children will be studying this year. In February, we have a Magnet Open House for families interested in learning about our school. Staff is present to answer questions and discuss the variety of programs available. Kindergarten Roundup is held in the spring for families accepted into our school. They are able to meet the kindergarten teachers and support staff to get ready for their child's entrance in the fall. The big event occurs in May with our Spring Showcase where we feature student work as well as an entertaining band concert and art fair.
Health Services
We are fortunate to have a full time nurse on staff. There are health appraisals done throughout the elementary grades. Please call Ms. Heroff for any questions or concerns regarding a student's health.
Attendance

All students are expected to be in school everyday. Absent students are called at home in the morning by our Home-School Liason, Ms. Burke. Any questions regarding absences can be directed to her. We also keep track of students' tardiness. The last bell rings at 8:05 and they need to be in their classrooms by 8:10 so as not to be marked late.

Food Services

Breakfast is served beginning at 8:50A.M. until 9:10. Lunch is 11:00 A.M. through 1:30 P.M. The lunchtime consists of approximately 10-15 minutes of recess following the meal. Students go outside for recess unless raining or below zero temperature.

Physical Education Clothing Policy
Comfortable clothing for movement, running and/or jumping is encouraged. It is important that students have a pair of athletic or soft-soled shoes. Please no black soled or high heeled soles. Students are expected to participate in class when in attendance. Contact Ms.Sellars for more information.
